Hi everyone! My name is Courtney Rimel and I am the Co-Owner of Axis Gymnastics Academy. I’m excited to have opened a facility here in Uvalde to help share my love of all things gymnastics, tumbling and cheer!
I started gymnastics when I was just three years old in a community Ed class but then went on to compete Level 9 in USAG, AGA and High School gymnastics. I also did school cheer in junior high but chose to focus on gymnastics in high school.
When I went to college I spent a year in competitive all star cheer with Texas Ag Elite, a open level 5 team in 2006-2007, as well as competed in NAIGC club gymnastics with Texas A&M for four years where our womens team was NAIGC national champions all four years. I graduated with a Bachelors in Science in exercise physiology in 2010.
I began coaching in college in the gym I grew up in and have coached gymnastics for 19 years. I have coached preschool, boys and girls recreational classes, cheer, tumbling and as well as competitive gymnastics teams.
I am so excited to work with these kids and see where this sport can take them!
I have been coaching cheer and gymnastics for 6 years but have been coaching other sports for nearly 25 years.
Hi! My name is Chloe and I'm 17 years old, currently a senior in high school and I have been the Junior and Mini All Star Cheer team assitant coach for two years, as well as coaching tumbling and gymnastics classes.
I've been passionate about cheer and gymnastics since I was just 3 years old. I cheered competitively from ages 5 to 15 and was part of my school's cheer program from 7th through 11th grade. Along with cheer, I've also dedicated myself to powerlifting, which I've been involved in since my freshman year.
After graduation, I plan to continue my education in college with the goal of becoming either a NICU nurse or an ultrasound technician.
Coming soon!
